The ultimate in forgiveness is when we can forgive people who have never expressed sorrow for the hurt that they have caused us. I'm told that JWs only forgive when there is a high level of repentance. No wonder they are all so screwed up!
They must have so much resentment inside them, I don't know how they can bear it. It must be an awfully unhappy religion.

Forgiveness is really no big deal. It's a very natural process that needs to be allowed to happen. It's only when we insist on hanging on to the hurt, or even worse, stating to an offender how hard we are trying to forgive them that we therefore become unwittingly self-righteous. In this manner we allow resentment to become embedded in our psyche. It's not natural to stay angry forever. Forgiving is automatic and doesn't need special effort if we just allow ourselves to experience it. It's a flower that just needs to be allowed to grow by itself.

she says it's an experience that i should have gone through years ago.. this coming tuesday, i shall spend an entire day surrounded by thousands of dubs.. think of me, dear people.
i've already started the initial stages of preparation.. englishman.
Trust Mike to get mileage out of his birthday present (last month!). I booked him a day trip to DUBlin - apparently the locals are known as Dubs... We fly over from Bristol at 8am next Tuesday, and return about 5.30pm. Our first port of call will be the Guiness Experience - of course. We also fancy trying the oysters which are supposed to be good over there.

im a liverpool fan and am currently beside myself with exitement.
this is by far the biggest game we have played in 20 years and im getting so jittery i fear i may pass out.
Mike couldn't believe it when we first met. When he asked me out I asked him to take me to see Portsmouth playing Nottingham Forest. Our youngest son plays for Winscombe. He's left footed and in great demand.

I've been looking forward to this match for simply ages. I love football and would watch it every night of the week if I could. I was always a big fan of Steve Heighway who played for Liverpool many years ago. Next to Portsmouth, they're my favourite team.

Sorry I haven't been keeping you all informed - Mike is not too well. He had an operation yesterday because they could not identify the source of his infection and it wasn't getting any better. They were alarmed to find he had a ruptured bowel and widespread peritonitus.
He's a strong chap and I just know he is going to fight this one - but it might be a long job!
I will keep you informed of his progress and get a laptop to him as soon as he's well enough.

i'm having great fun looking up stuff from the 60's and 70's that i recall causing me some astonishment at the time, even though i was still an active dubbie when they were published.
actually it was more than astonishment.
